Antiparos’ Favorite Shore: Soros

If there’s one beach that consistently draws both locals and visitors, it’s Soros. Set along the southeastern coast of Antiparos, this wide stretch of sand and shallow water is made for long days that pass without effort. The shore here is open and sun-drenched, yet never feels crowded, even in high season.

The beach is well-loved for its easy access and calm, swimmable waters, with a smooth sandy entry that makes it ideal for families and relaxed swims. Right behind the beach, you’ll find two well-known tavernas where lunch stretches into late afternoon. Fresh fish, simple salads, and crisp white wine come standard. A short walk up the slope reveals wide views of the coastline, while the beachfront remains wonderfully grounded.

Though Soros is one of the more popular beaches on the island, its size and layout help maintain a laid-back atmosphere. You’ll see couples stretched out on towels, friends gathered over mezze, and children tracing sand paths down to the water’s edge.
